Lifetime Achievement Awards
The 2006 American Trails Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2005 California Trails and Greenways Conference Lifetime Achievement Award were given to Bill Bliss. These lifetime achievement awards acknowledge individuals that deserve praise for providing the most outstanding efforts to promote, enhance or expand public awareness and use of trails/greenways in California. They are presented to an individual who has volunteered a considerable amount of personal time over the past 25 or more years on behalf of trails/greenways, and who has been a leader with statewide impact on trails/greenways in California. These awards are deserving recognition for his passionate crusade to make bicycling safer.
