    Access Information

    North Waterfront Park (Cesar E. Chavez Park) is located next to Berkeley Marina and Pier. It is located at the west end of University Avenue. From Interstate 80 or 580, exit at University Avenue and proceed west. Follow the signs.

    Park Highlights

    Looking for a great place to fly your kite? How about somewhere to walk the dog? Just want to get away from it all? North Waterfront Park (Cesar E. Chavez Park) is a dream come true. The Berkeley Kite Festival is held there, so it is a great place to fly kites at. The trail winds over and around gentle rolling hills. Picnic tables and benches are great places to sit at. The views from atop the hills are some of the best in the Bay Area. This park has it all, for everyone.

    When you embark on your trip around North Waterfront Park (Cesar E. Chavez Park), you will come across signs that give you information about the park and a map of were you are and where you can go.

    More signs give you other information about the park.

    Along the trail you can take in spectacular views of the hillside area and of the San Francisco Bay waterfront.

    The long winding trail takes you all over the park.

    Benches and trashcans line the trail making it convenient for one to stop and rest of throw away garbage from a picnic.
